Annie Marie Monroe
Annie Marie McCord Harvey Monroe, 89, of Monticello, passed away Saturday, December 9, 2006, at Monticello Healthcare. She was born February 16, 1917, in Royse City, Texas, the daughter of the late William Taylor McCord and Frances Melody McCord. She lived her entire life in Texas, until she moved to Monticello to be near her daughter and family in 1996.
She was a retired department head at Resistol Hat Company and was of the Christian faith. She was preceded in death by her husband, Lonnie Harvey, father of her children; her husband, Dooley Monroe; a son, Martin Carrol Harvey; and a grandson at birth.
Survivors include one son, Michael Lee Harvey and wife, Pam, of Ft. Worth, Texas; one daughter, Fran Coalter and husband, Louis, of Monticello; a special granddaughter, Suzie Flemister, six other grandchildren in Texas and Indiana; ten greatgrandchildren; and one greatgreat grandchild.
Graveside services were held at 1:30 p.m. Tuesday, December 12, at Oakland Cemetery with Father Phillip Reaves officiating. Arrangements were by Stephenson-Dearman Funeral Home.
