Boyce 'B.J.' Mize
Boyce Junior "B.J" Mize, 61, of Star City, died Tuesday, November 28, 2006, at Jefferson Regional Medical Center in Pine Bluff.
Born November 17, 1945, at Lepanto, he was a son of the late Eddie G. Mize and Elsie Morrow Mize.
He was a member of Yorktown Freewill Baptist Church, where he had served as an usher, assistant Sunday school teacher and door greeter.
Survivors include his wife, Gail Mize; three sons, Steven Ritchie of San Antonio, Texas, and Clay Nealy and Jamey Nealy, both of Star City; five daughters, Ginger Maynard and Brandi Mize, both of Monticello, Nikki McBroom of Bastrop, La., Ramona Matthews of Sterlington, La., and Kari Steele of Monroe, La.; a sister, Mattie Jones of Sterlington; and 13 grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by two brothers, Lewis Mize and Danny Mize.
Funeral services were held December 1 at Griffin Funeral Service in Star City with Frank Matchett officiating. Burial was at Oak Grove Cemetery in Yorktown.
