Bradley Thomas Hopper
Bradley Thomas Hopper, 53, of Shawnee, Kan., died at home May 15, 2014.
He was born January 24, 1961 in Ripley, Miss., to the late Enos B. Hopper and the late Frances Mercer Hopper.
Bradley was a 1979 graduate of Walnut High School in Walnut, Miss. He attended the University of Mississippi on a ROTC scholarship and graduated in 1983 with a degree in General Engineering and was commissioned as a regular Army Military Intelligence Officer. He served his country proudly for 11 years.
Bradley and his family moved from Monticello to Shawnee, Kan. in August, 2010, and he was currently working as an Engineering Manager for Standard Motor Products in Edwardsville, Kan. He was a member of Lenexa Baptist Church.
He was also preceded in death by one brother, Stanley Hopper.
Survivors include his wife, Evelyn Sexton Hopper, Shawnee, Kan.; one daughter, Courtney Best (Matt), of Conway; two sons, Jordan Hopper, of Lawrence, Kan., and Justin Hopper, of Shawnee, Kan.; two sisters, Susie Smith (Tim), of Memphis, Tenn., and Brenda Downs (Gary), of Tiplersville, Miss.; two brothers, Bret Hopper (Robin), of Hickory, N.C., and Steve Hopper (Mary) of Tiplersville, Miss.; and several nieces and nephews.
A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday May 25 at Second Baptist Church in Monticello.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be sent to Wounded Warrior Project or the Second Baptist Church Building Fund
