Doris Louise Moran
Doris Louise Moran, 67, of Hamburg died Saturday October 12, 2013, at home.
Born May 28, 1946, in Ashley County, AR. a daughter of the late Daniel Stanley and Florence Edna Curry Stanley, she was a homemaker and member of Trinity Freewill Baptist Church.
Also preceding her in death was a spouse, Wilbert Lavon Smith Sr.; brothers, Daniel Washington Stanley and George Stanley; sister Carolyn Barnett; a grandchild and a great grandchild.
Survivors are her husband, Thomas Joe Moran; three sons, Danny Lavon Smith and spouse, Bonnie, of Milo, Wilbert Lavon Smith Jr. and spouse, Jeni, of Little Rock, and Virgil Lee Smith and spouse, Amanda, of Monticello; one daughter, Lela Gayle Scroggins and spouse, Craig, of Little Rock; one brother, Ernest Dewayne Stanley, of Phoenix, Ariz.; five sisters, Linda Rose Barnett, of Indianola, Miss., Donnie Moran, of Hamburg, Loretta Yates, of Fountain Hill, Debbie Hicks, of Hamburg, and Lorrie Cameron, of Bastrop, La.; 11 grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Tuesday October 15, 2013, at Trinity Freewill Baptist Church with Rev. Arnold Sheets and Rev. Keith Bozeman officiating. Music was provided by Royce Culp, Beverly Culp and Virginia Gardner. Burial followed in Carlock Cemetery under the direction of Frazer’s Funeral Home. Active pallbearers were Samson Gottshall, Jesse Smith, Patrick Gutierrez, Jason Moran, David Moran, Timmy Moran, Andrew Scroggins and Chris Barnett. Honorary pallbearers were Noah Smith, Gaylor Scroggins and D.J. Smith.
