Dorothy Marie Griffin Logan Lemley
Dorothy Marie Griffin Logan Lemley, 93 of Dermott passed away, November 19, 2013, at the Pine Bluff Regional Medical Center in Pine Bluff.
Born February 1, 1920, in Drew County, she was the daughter of the late Fred Griffin and Nora Karen Burt Griffin.
She was the widow of Herbert D. Lemley, a housewife, a retired salesperson and a member of the First Assembly of God Church in Dermott. Mrs. Lemley was a wonderful Christian woman who loved her Lord, her church and her family. She also loved gardening daylilies, roses and tulips. She was also preceded in death by two sons, Jimmy and Raymond Logan, one grandson, Ray Logan, four sisters and one brother.
Survivors include one son, Gaylon Lemley of Dermott; three daughters, Marie Logan Mathews and husband, Bobby, and Gaila Lemley, both of Pine Bluff and Marcia Watson and husband, James, of Van Buren; nine grandchildren, Carol Dees and husband, Darrell, Larry Logan, Traci Logan Moore and husband, Rodney, Robert J. Mathews, Jr. and wife, Vicki, Teri Pairsh and husband, Terry, Jeff Mathews and wife, Mallette, Parker Jamison, Amanda Lemley, Tabitha Williams and husband, Everett; nine great-grandchildren, Jake, Cody and Jared Moore, Justin and Tyler Mathews, Seth Hughes, Taigen Moore, Maegan Lemley and Christopher Williams.
Funeral services were held at 11 a.m. Friday, November 22, 2013, at Stephenson Dearman Chapel with Rev. Bud Banks officiating. Burial followed in Centerpoint Cemetery. Active pallbearers were Tony Lee, Frances Lee, Jake Moore, Cody Moore, Seth Hughes and Tyler Mathews.
