Edna Earle Crook
Edna Earle Crook died in Huntsville, Ala. on October 23rd, 2013, at the age of 91.
She is survived by her daughter, Janice Earlene (Crook) Pigue, her husband COL (Retired) Larry Pigue and granddaughter, Tammy Brannen, all of Huntsville, Ala.; grandson Keith Crook and granddaughter ReNae Getson, of Paragould; and granddaughters, Cathey Botwright, of Virginia Beach, Va.; Kristie Hunter, Amanda Mizell, and grandson Jon Carder, all of Star City; and granddaughter Sandra Morgan, of Kentucky; 14 great grandchildren and 5 great-great grandchildren.
Her husband, Travis Crook, son Jerry Keith Crook, two brothers, one sister and great grand daughter, Melissa Brannen, preceded her in death.
Edna was born on May 21, 1922, in New Hope to the late Carl and Devena Halley. She lived there until she moved to Strong in the 1960s. She moved back to Monticello in 1988. In her later years, she was a resident in The Guest House before moving to Star City where she resided in Lincoln Heights Nursing Home until October 8, 2013 when she relocated to Huntsville, Ala. to be near her daughter.
Funeral arrangements are being handled by Stephenson-Dearman Funeral Home. Visitation will be 7-9 p.m. on Thursday, October 31, 2013, at Stephenson-Dearman Funeral Home. Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. at Northside Baptist Church on Friday, November 1, 2013, with burial following in Union Ridge Cemetery.
