Eula Mae Pugh
Eula Mae Pugh, 93, of Star City, died Thursday, November 23, 2006, at Jefferson Regional Medical Center Inpatient Hospice.
Born April 26, 1913, in Star City, she was a daughter of the late Virgil Flemister and Lillie Gray Flemister.
She was a homemaker and a member of Person Chapel Baptist Church of Meroney, where she served as an usher, Sunday school teacher and mission treasurer.
Survivors include three sons, Andrew Pugh of Chicago, Ill., Herman Pugh of Milwaukee, Wis., and Roy Pugh of Little Rock; three daughters, Lillian Lewis of Star City, Gloria Dawson of Inglewood, Calif., and Shirlean Perry of Pine Bluff; two sisters, Ethel Peeples of Monticello and Ola Anderson of Gould; 28 grandchildren; 103 great-grandchildren; and 96 great-great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were held December 2 at Rose Hill Baptist Church in Meroney with the Rev. Henry Maxwell officiating. Burial was at Person Chapel Cemetery with arrangements by Brown Funeral Home of Dumas.
