Galen Laymone Taylor

Galen Laymone Taylor, 64, of Pine Bluff died Tuesday, June 11, 2013, at U.A.M.S.

Born April 15, 1949, in Warren, a son of the late Floys Allen Taylor and Louise Braswell Taylor he was a retired electrician for Evergreen Packaging, a 35 year employee of Delta Natural Kraft, a Baptist and former member of Arkansas National Guard.

He was preceded in death by his wife Susan G. Doss Taylor, who died July 29, 2003.

Survivors are one son Todd Taylor and spouse Christy, of Pine Bluff; two daughters, Mishelle Sutton and spouse Kip, and Amanda Robinson and spouse Jason, all of Pine Bluff; one brother Bacil Taylor and spouse Rena, of Pine Bluff; five grandchildren Haley Green, Gage Taylor, Jacob Sutton, Shelby Robinson, Carson Taylor.

Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Saturday, June 15, 2013, at Enon Missionary Baptist Church in Rye with Dr. Michael Stroh officiating. Musicians were Sybil Vinson and Donna Taylor. Burial followed in Enon Cemetery. Active pallbearers were Jimmy Carter Taylor, Jim Taylor, Christopher Taylor, Heather Taylor, Patrick Brown, Nicholas Brown, Rhine Brown and David Brown. Honorary pallbearers were Gary Taylor and Wendol Swinney.
