George Robinson Sr.

George Robinson Sr. was born December 5, 1929, to the late Frances Robinson in Dermott. He departed this life Thursday, August 15, 2013, at 9:55 p.m. at the Allegiance Specialty Hospital of Greenville, Miss., at the age of 83.

George was the oldest of four brothers. His youngest brother, Lawrence Thomas, preceded him in death. He is survived by brothers, James Johnson, Sr. and Rufus Thomas, Jr. (Johnnie Mae) both of Dermott, Arkansas

He leaves to cherish his memory, Dorothy Ann Burns Robinson, his wife of 60 years.

George is survived by and leaves to cherish his memory 11 children. Two Sons, George Robinson, Jr. (Sharlotte),. of Lake Village, Jimmie Lee Robinson, of Dermott; Nine Daughters, Mollie Lou Mormon (Larnell), of Camden, Bettye Gean Kilpatrick, of Fayetteville, N.C., Jessie B. Gaston (Jerry) and Martha Lou Johnson (Ray), both of Camden, Darlene Plummer (Ronnie), of St. Louis, Mo., Judy Marie Robinson, of Dermott, Sheril Ann Robinson, of Huntsville, Ala., Pearlene Harris (Larry), of McGehee, and Joyce Marie Robertson James (Roy), of Fort Smith.

He is also survived by 22 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

His final care and service is entrusted to: Strickland Davis Funeral Home, 605 North Main Street, Dermott, Arkansas, 71638. His Homegoing Celebration will be held at 1 p.m. on Saturday, August 24, 2013, at Washington Memorial Church of God in Christ, 211 Knox Street, Dermott, Arkansas.
