Gerald Wayne Hobbs
Gerald Wayne Hobbs, 70, of Dumas, died Thursday, November 19, 2009, at his home.
Born January 20, 1939, in Hamburg, he was a son of the late Hogan Oliver Hobbs and Margarette Ethridge Hobbs.
He was retired from Potlatch Paper Mill and was a member of Victory Baptist Church.
He was preceded in death by two brothers, James Oliver Hobbs and Billy Lynn Hobbs.
Survivors include his wife, Linda Hobbs; two sons, Anthony Hobbs of Selma and Hogan Hobbs of Atlanta, Texas; two daughters, Geralyn Miller of Ocean Springs, Miss., and Rhonda Mills of Anchorage, Alaska; two sisters, Julia Willis of Demopolis, Ala., and Martha McGarrity of Monticello; 12 grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
Graveside services were held November 22 at Hamburg Cemetery with the Rev. Dean Dancer officiating. Arrangements were by Griffin Funeral Home of Dumas.
