James Richard Land, 60, of Arkansas City, died Sunday, November 12, 2006, at his home.
Born November 23, 1945, in Selma, he was a son of the late David Land and Ella Barnett Land.
He served in the U.S. Navy and was an electrician at Potlatch and a Baptist.
Survivors include his wife, Brenda Forest Land; two sons, Robert Land of Virginia Beach, Va., and Richard Land of Jacksonville, Fla.; a daughter, Marsha Evans of El Dorado; three brothers, David Land of Ukiah, Calif., Bobby Streeter of Snyder and Frankie Streeter of Fountain Hill; three sisters, Mary Hendrix of Hockerhites, Texas, Linda Slaughter of Fountain Hill and Juanita Cotton of Bauxite; and 16 grandchildren.
Funeral services were held November 16 at Griffin Funeral Service in McGehee with the Rev. Robert Streeter officiating. Burial was at McGehee Cemetery.
