Mark Craig, 59, of Lake Village, died Monday, August 18, 2014, at the East Texas Medical Center in Tyler, Texas.
He was a native and resident of Hamburg for many years and lived in Lake Village for the past two years. He graduated from Ashdown High School in 1972 and he was a veteran of the United States Navy. He owned Craig Construction Company and was a member of the Trinity Free Will Baptist Church.
He is preceded in death by his father, Bobby Craig.
He is survived by two sons, B.J. Craig and wife, Taylor, of Sherwood; Gary Craig and wife, Kimberly, of Simpsonville, S.C.; two daughters, Tara Craig Smith and husband, John, of Monticello, and Nicole Craig Culp and husband, Jared, of East End; his mother, Sue Platt, of Texarkana, Texas; a brother, Randy Craig, of Lake Village; two sisters, Christy Meeks and Shannon Clark, both of Hamburg; seven grandchildren, Jade, Payton, Craig Allen, Morgan, Skyler, Wyatt and Maddox; and a host of nieces, nephews, aunts and uncles.
Funeral services were held at 2 p.m., Friday, August 22, 2014, at the Trinity Free Will Baptist Church with Bro. Bruce Culp and Bro. John Williams officiating. Burial followed in Egypt Cemetery. Pallbearers were Jared Culp, John Smith, Craig Allen Culp, Colt Craig, Dakota Meeks, Taelor Clark and Bruce Culp. Honorary pallbearers were Tim Pennington, Bruce Meeks, Frank Ross, Phillip Reed, Jade Craig, Payton Craig, Randy Craig and Larry Craig.
