It's about time
BREAKING GROUND Gov. Asa Hutchinson (center), along with commanders of the Arkansas State Police, broke ground Wednesday morning signaling construction to begin on a new $2.8 million Troop F Headquarters in Warren. Troop F, which serves Monticello, has been in the same facility for 74 years. The headquarters, originally designated District 4 in 1943, was among the first of four headquarters to be built following the 1935 Arkansas General Assembly session creating the Department of Arkansas State Police. Eighty-two years later, there are 12 Arkansas State Police troop headquarters.
