Sanders Deon Bealer Sr.
Sanders Deon Bealer Sr., 47, of Monticello, died Wednesday, May 6, 2009, at Drew Memorial Hospital.
Born June 13, 1961, in Dumas, he was a son of the late Asbeary Bealer Sr. and Archie Mae Poole Bealer.
He was a U.S. Army veteran and had worked at Bassett Upholstery in Dumas, Akin Industries in Monticello and Armstrong in Warren. He was a member of Holy Divine Church of God in Christ.
He was preceded in death by two brothers, Bobbie Robinson and Timothy Jackson.
Survivors include his wife, Gladys Daniels Bealer, whom he married December 18, 1993; his grandmother, Shirley Poole of Pine Bluff; two sons, Teh-Ran Montgomery of Conway and Sanders Bealer Jr. of Monticello; three daughters, Verneasa Wheeler of Houston, Texas, Kenishia Phillips of California and Quainica Bealer of Monticello; a granddaughter, Kinzely "Wendy" Jordan; eight brothers, Asbeary Bealer Jr., Anderson Bealer and Kenneth Bealer, all of Texas, John Bealer of Pine Bluff, Arthur Holmes of Muskegon, Mich.; Arthur Bealer of Arkansas City, Velesque Bealer of Chicago, Ill., and Sandy Bealer of Dumas; and six sisters, Judy Burns and Caroline Holley, both of Dumas, Eunice Woods of Little Rock, and Patricia Hill, Gustavia McCarrell and Betty Jackson, all of Columbus, S.C.
Funeral services were held May 14 at Holy Divine COGIC in Lacey with the Rev. Asbeary Bealer Jr. officiating. Burial was at Lacey Cemetery with arrangements by Christian Brothers Funeral Home of Monticello.
Pallbearers were Eddie Jones, Sidney Lucas, Samuel Baker, Arlee Walker, Eric Lucas, Larmey Miller and Calvin Lee.
