Raymond Dale Fulcher
Raymond Dale Fulcher, 61, of Haleyville, Ala., formerly of Banks, died Thursday, Dec. 20, 2018 at his home. He was born on Oct. 17, 1957 in East Bernard, Texas to Sterlin William and Ada May Swanson Fulcher.
During his life, Raymond worked in the oil field industry in Texas, as a contract logger in Southeast Arkansas and as a truck driver throughout the continental United States. With his wife of 35 years, Raymond raised four children, and loved and influenced others through his life and family. He was of the Christian faith and shared the word of God to anyone who would listen, and some who didn’t want to hear it.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Evelyn S. Fulcher; his parents; three brothers, W.S. “Bill” Fulcher, David K. Fulcher, Spurgle Ordell Fulcher; several nieces and nephews; and one great-nephew.
Raymond is survived by his children, Robert (Jennifer) Dozier, of Ludowici, Ga., Teresa Fulcher of Dallas, Melissa (Jimmy) Cason of Stuttgart, formerly of Monticello, William “Bo” Fulcher of Dallas, Adam Cole of Hamilton, Ala. and Billy Campbell of Crossett; his grandchildren, Courtney, Samantha and Xavier Dozier of Ludowici, Jordan, Cameron and Gavin Cason of Stuttgart, Alex and Christopher “C.J.” McKnight of Lovelady, Texas, Amilin and Melenia Fulcher of Dickinson, Texas and Delaney Fulcher of Conroe, Texas; his fiancée and caregiver, Jaqueline Wilson of Haleyville; his siblings, Della (James) Kirland, Alvie Lee (Geneva) Fulcher, Robert (Cindy) Fulcher, John W. (Kim) Fulcher and Morgan (Lisa) Fulcher and Lovell Bolton, all of Texas; his sister/brothers-in-law, Elizabeth Fulcher of Texas, Paul (Lisa) Treece of Haleyville, Troy Treece of Haleyville and Hildred Treece of Crain Hill, Ala.; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
A celebration of life service was held on Saturday, Dec. 29, 2018 at Ephesus Baptist Church in the Pebble community (near Haleyville) with Bro. Jeremy Glenn officiating.
His son, Robert, delivered the eulogy.
