Robert Archer Sanderlin

Robert Archer Sanderlin, 86, of Benton, formerly of Monticello, passed away Thursday, August 1, 2019 at Heartland Rehabilitation and Care Center in Benton. 

He was born November 12, 1932 in Monticello to the late Joseph B. Sanderlin Jr. and Ruby Anne Archer Sanderlin.

He was a retired Chief of Surveys for the United States Army Corp of Engineers and a United States Army Veteran of the Korean War.

He was a member the Veterans of Foreign Wars and Anderson Chapel Baptist Church. Mr. Sanderlin’s hobbies included hunting, square dancing, gardening, golf, archery and bowling. 

In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by his wife, Julia Collins Sanderlin; and three brothers, John C. Sanderlin, Delaney Sanderlin and Jack Sanderlin.

Survivors include three daughters, Bobbie Mooney and Linda Helton, both of Benton, and Judy Kendall of Little Rock; nine grandchildren, 19 great-grandchildren and six great-great-grandchildren.

Funeral services were Tuesday, August 6, 2019 at Stephenson-Dearman Chapel with burial following in Union Ridge Cemetery. 

Visitation was one hour prior to service time.
