Ralph William Jasay, 91, of Monticello, died Thursday, November 30, 2006, at Drew Memorial Hospital.
Born May 3, 1915, in Cotton Valley, La., he was a son of the late Louis Jasay and Minnie Donham Jasay.
He was a retired parts manager with Jackson Chevrolet & Cadillac in Monticello, where he had 20 years of service. He was also a mechanic at the prisoner of war camp in 1941 during World War II, and at Ryburn Motor Company, retiring in 1980. He was a 51-year Mason and a member of First Presbyterian Church.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Helen Reynolds Jasay; four brothers, Louis Jasay, Vince Jasay, Marion Jasay and Woodrow Jasay; and two sisters, Lena Jasay and Velma Cloud.
Survivors include a daughter, RaLue Jasay of Monticello; two granddaughters, Monica Bowden of Jonesboro and Randi Dodson of Monticello; and six greatgrandchildren.
Graveside services were held at Oakland Cemetery December 3 with the Rev. Richard Wood officiating. Arrangements were by Stephenson-Dearman Funeral Home.
