UAM inducts five into Sports Hall of Fame

Thursday night in front of a packed room at the Gibson University Center, the University of Arkansas at Monticello inducted five new members into the UAM Sports Hall of Fame.

Roland Autry, the first Boll Weevil underclassman to earn first team NAIA All-America honors in football; M.L. Mann, a mainstay on Weevil football teams in the 1950's which won the first two of four consecutive AIC championships; Jeff Pope, a two-time NAIA All-America distance runner; Jodie Scott, a member of the Gulf South Conference's All-Decade team from 2001-10 in softball; and Milton Williams, an NAIA Indoor All-American in the shot put, took their places alongside 63 other UAM athletes and coaches and the 1956 AIC champion men's basketball team in the UAM Hall.
