Woman, daughter escape serious injury in wreck

A Monticello woman and her 9-year-old daughter escaped serious injury Thursday when the woman blacked out and lost control of her vehicle, according to Drew County Sheriff Mark Gober.

Susanne Kibodeaux was traveling north on Interstate 530 late Thursday afternoon when she "blacked out" at the intersection of I-530 and Arkansas 35 North, Gober said.

The vehicle entered a ditch and came to rest after hitting a pine tree.

Both Kibodeaux and her daughter, Hannah, were transported by ambulance to Drew Memorial Hospital.

Kibodeaux sustained a broken nose and had a "bump on her head" Gober said.

Hannah was not injured, Gober said.
